The BIBO water bar comes standard with a child safety lock on the hot water system.
There is also an additional level of child safety lock that can be set using your BIBO touch screen menu. This additional child safety lock setting requires a sequence of buttons to be pressed in order to dispense hot water.
The hot water in your BIBO is maintained at 96°C just below boiling point. To bring it fully to the boil just press the boiling water boost button before dispensing hot water.
You can choose the temperature of your chilled water. The BIBO can be preset to deliver water between 4°C to 16°C.
4°C is ice cold and 16°C is closer to the temperature dispensed by a standard cold water tap.
Your BIBO plumbs into your mains water supply so as to provide unlimited filtered and purified water.
It can produce 15 litres of boiling water and 5 litres of chilled water per hour and recharges quickly when either tank is emptied.
The BIBO uses the latest technology in water filtration – multistage carbon filtration in combination with UV lamp purification. The carbon filter removes impurities, sediment, tastes, odours, chlorine, heavy metals, and cysts such as cryptosporidium, leaving only the good minerals behind. The UV filter lamp kills bacteria and pathogens which may be present in your tap water.
The system is certified to the Watermark standard and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
The BIBO water bar does not remove fluoride from your drinking water. If this is a concern, it is possible to purchase a separate fluoride filter and install it between the mains and your BIBO connection.
The BIBO is fitted with the BIBO carbon maxi filter and BIBO ultraviolet (UV) filter lamp. It is recommended to replace the carbon maxi filter every 6 months and the UV filter lamp every 12 months. For complete peace of mind, the BIBO touchscreen display will indicate when your filters are due for replacement.
Our courtesy reminder service will also remind you when your filters are due to be replaced and arrange for a replacement filter pack to be sent to you.
If you're a handy person, the self-installation of the BIBO water bar is simple and straight forward.
Your purchase includes all the accessories needed and a step-by-step self installation guide. If you run into trouble one of our customer care team members will be happy to assist, even talking you through the process on the phone.

It is possible to install the BIBO anywhere as long as there is a mains water supply in the vicinity. Where necessary, our BIBO technicians can run (and hide) tubing through walls and ceilings to make it function perfectly and look great too. You won’t see any visible pipes or fittings after installation.
Your BIBO does not need a waste water drain. It has a removable drip tray which can be emptied when necessary.
Not a problem! Typically installation requires drilling an 8mm hole at the back of your benchtop, behind the BIBO to feed the 1/4″ pipe to the mains supply. We recommend having this done by a qualified professional with the right equipment.
All BIBO technicians are highly trained to deal with these types of stone benchtops, using specialised diamond tools coupled with a water cooling system. This prevents any dust in your home or office and ensures a nice neat unobtrusive 8mm hole.
