Maintaining your BIBO Water Bar

We recommend you install your BIBO Water Bar in a clean, dry, cool location out of direct sunlight.

Clean your BIBO regularly by simply wiping it down with a damp cloth. Mild soap or detergent can be used but never use concentrated detergents, solvents, or anything abrasive such as stiff brushes or scourers to clean the body as it will scratch. The drip tray can be removed and put through your dishwasher.

Your BIBO is an electrical appliance and we strongly recommend disconnecting it from the power supply for cleaning. Never immerse your BIBO in water or splash water inside it during cleaning.

If you live in a “hard water” area you may experience a build-up of calcium limescale in your BIBO’s hot water tank. A sure sign of this is a change in taste, interrupted flow from the outlet, or hot water overflowing into the back of the drip tray. For optimum performance, we recommend cleaning and descaling your hot tank every 6 months.

If you are going away for a period we suggest switching your BIBO off using the power and hot tank switches at the rear. We also recommend turning off the water supply to your BIBO using the isolation valve on the mains connector valve supplied with your machine. When you return don’t forget to turn everything back on and its a good idea to flush 1-2 litres of water through both hot and cold tanks before using.
