BIBO Water's 10 hottest On-trend Cocktails!

After weeks of research BIBO has come up with a definitive list of on-trend cocktails guaranteed to impress any guest...

As the temperature rises, summer will be here and we’ll be able to start throwing parties and entertaining friends.

Nothing makes a party sizzle more than whipping up an impressive-looking cocktail with plenty of umbrellas, paper straws and vegetation sticking out the top. If it tastes delicious too, then even better!

Here's 10 hottest cocktails to choose from..

1. Espresso Martini

The Espresso Martini is a combination of coffee, vodka and coffee liqueur shaken vigorously with ice until it is chilled and frothy. The martini is then strained into a chilled martini glass, and garnished with coffee beans or a chocolate stick.

2. Aperol Spritz

The Aperol Spritz is a classic Italian cocktail made with just 3 ingredients; Prosecco, Aperol and a splash of soda water. To save money, use a Soda Stream to get some bubbles into some filtered water from your BIBO water bar, but make sure it’s completely chilled.

3. Negroni

The Negroni is a classic cocktail that has made the list. Made with equal parts gin, sweet vermouth and Campari, this cocktail has a bitter yet refreshing taste.

4. Margarita

This classic drink is made with tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau or triple sec and is usually served in a margarita glass with a salted rim and a lime wedge. Yum!

5. Classic Mojito

Mojitos can be served on the rocks, blended, or shaken.  Lime juice is added to a glass filled with ice, followed by rum, sugar syrup, and mint leaves. All ingredients should be stirred together and then topped with soda water. Best to make your soda water with some filtered water from your BIBO water bar, but make sure it’s completely chilled.

6. Pina Colada

The unique flavour of the Pina Colada comes from the combination of pineapple juice and coconut cream which gives this drink its creamy texture. The white rum adds a touch of warmth and depth of flavour.

 5. Old Fashioned

This good 'old fashioned' cocktail is traditionally made with whiskey, bitters, sugar, and a twist of citrus. This drink has a long and interesting history, and it continues to be a favourite of many cocktail enthusiasts.

 6. Long Island Iced Tea

The classic drink is a combination of vodka, tequila, white rum, triple sec, and gin, topped off with a splash of cola. If you want to spice it up a bit, add cranberry juice, pineapple juice, or lime juice.

 7. Whiskey Sour

It’s a simple mix of whiskey, lemon juice, and sugar, and it’s been a favourite among whiskey lovers for centuries.

 8. Classic Martini

When it comes to creating a Classic Martini, Gin is the classic spirit used in a Martini, but vodka is also an excellent choice. The vermouth can be dry, sweet, or even flavoured, and there are a multitude of garnishes you can use, including olives, lemons, limes, and even onions.

 10. Sangria

A jug of pure summer with red wine, brandy, soda water or lemonade and cinnamon. Make sure there’s plenty of ice so the jug keeps the mixture cool while you’re on your first glass. Add some oranges, lemons and an apple for some crunch!
